B3K Prosperity hosts inaugural Unbound: Kern Capital Summit
On Monday, Sept. 30, B3K Prosperity hosted the first annual Unbound: Kern Capital Summit at the historic Padre Hotel in Downtown Bakersfield. This first-of-its-kind event brought together local and national experts across key industries to explore the limitless future of Kern County’s economy.
The summit opened with a keynote presentation from Michael Ginsberg, President of Tokamak Energy Inc., who shared insights on why Kern County is a “global magnet for capital and innovation” to a sold-out room of 180 guests from across California and beyond.
“The culture of problem-solving is exactly what the industries of the future require. Energy systems, aerospace platforms, precision medicine — they are not “easy” businesses. They demand toughness, resilience, and practical know-how. And Kern has it,” Michael explained.
The afternoon featured a series of panels focused on high-impact industries shaping Kern County’s economic landscape:
- Aerospace: Kern County’s role in leading aerospace innovation
- AgTech & Water: Commercializing breakthrough technologies in agriculture and water
- AI & Energy: How artificial intelligence is transforming energy, healthcare, and opportunity zones in Kern County
Attendees also had the first look at the 2025 Impact Report, highlighting the initiatives and progress B3K Prosperity has made in advancing economic development in our region.
The summit concluded with a networking cocktail hour overlooking Downtown Bakersfield from the Padre’s rooftop.
